Insights from Granny
I had a chance to sit down with my Grams and have this talk while I was having my lunch. How this one started was really odd. Here was how it went:

Grams: "Wag ka na mag-asawa"
me: "Ha? Bakit naman?"
Grams: "Eh kasi tamad ka. Pag nag-asawa ka, para ka lang alila na walang bayad"
me: "Wag kang mag-alala, wala akong balak"
Grams: "Kung ganun, wag ka tumanggap ng suitor"
me: "Ha? Meron ba?"

It was really funny, the way she blurted out all of it, out of the blue. At some point, my granny was telling me how difficult her life was with my grandfather. He was dead for ages, even before I was born. So I told her, "eh matagal nang patay si Kong-Kong bakit mo pa sinasabi yan?" Hahaha ang funny talaga ng conversation namin. I suddenly realized I missed having small talks with her. Strange as it may seem but I felt we had a quality time together. Over lunch and my delicious ulam was sermon. Hahaha! My granny is the best! I love her :)
